PETERBOROUGH 一Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo Saunders is pleased to announce that the ConVal School District will be participating in the New Hampshire Tackles Hunger Food Drive.
On Friday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. the ConVal High School football team will be playing its Homecoming game against Trinity High School.
Food drive donations will be accepted during the game in collaboration with the NH Tackles Hunger Food Drive. Accepted donations will include non-perishable and canned food items.
All items collected will be donated to the Peterborough Food Pantry, which assists area residents with basic emergency needs.
“We are pleased to be able to participate in such a worthy cause, and I encourage everyone to come out and donate,” said Superintendent Rizzo. “I am proud of our students for participating in this program. Go Cougars!”
The canned goods drive is organized by WMUR and the New Hampshire Food Bank, with schools across the state participating through Friday, Sept. 23.
ConVals participation is sponsored by Friends of ConVal Athletics (FCVA).
