“Thank you to the many voters in our District towns who came out to vote on March 9. This past year has been a difficult time financially for families across the District. We remain committed to providing the best possible education for our students, whether the District operates under its proposed budget or the default budget. The last year has showcased the dedication and commitment of the entire community to providing a safe and welcoming learning environment for all ConVal students.”

While Article 1, the proposed budget, failed by four votes, all other articles on the warrant passed with majority support, including the one-year contract for our educators. Thank you to the School Board members and administrators, who worked so diligently during the budget process so that we can continue to meet the needs of ConVal students.

The district has determined it is not legally obligated to perform a recount despite how close the vote was on Article 1. A recount request would have to come from registered voters in the nine communities.
