Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo Saunders and the ConVal School District proudly share that ConVal Regional High School students earned 40 awards at the 2022 Scholastic Art Awards of New Hampshire.

Each year, Scholastic Art Awards submissions are juried by luminaries in the visual arts, some of whom are past award recipients. Panelists look for works that best exemplify originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal voice or vision.

The following ConVal students were recognized:

“Congratulations to all of our awardees. The Scholastic Art Awards of New Hampshire are extremely competitive, and being recognized is a tremendous achievement,” Superintendent Rizzo Saunders said. “I also wish to thank Art Teachers Mary Goldthwaite-Gagne, Karrie Mitschmyer, and Ben Putnam, and Digital Photo and Video Teacher Lance Levesque, whose dedication and experience epitomize the spirit of our arts programs.”

The Scholastic Art Awards ceremony will be held virtually once again this year, and will be shown via livestream on March 11 at 6 p.m.

Awardees’ work will be on display in the CTE atrium following the ceremony, and posted online. 

About the Scholastic Art Awards

The Scholastic Art Awards of New Hampshire is a statewide association of art educators, artists, and visual arts institutions that strive to foster creative expression and artistic achievement in all students, grade 7 through 12 who are eligible for the program. Each year in September, the call goes out from SAANH to all New Hampshire’s Art Educators, grades 7-12, to register and submit their outstanding student artwork.
