PETERBOROUGH – Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo Saunders is pleased to share that ConVal hosted elementary and middle school students for a tour of a Region 14 Applied Technology Center at ConVal High School.

Over 700 students from elementary and middle schools in the ConVal, Jaffrey-Rindge and Mascenic School Districts visited the ATC last week to tour the facility as part of Career Technical Education (CTE) Month.

Students had the opportunity to tour all of the ATC program classrooms and labs, meet instructors, ask questions and sample some of the project-based learning that are core to the CTE experience.

“Our CTE programs help students develop practical skills and we were excited to welcome so many students to explore the Applied Technology Center and learn what CTE is all about,” Superintendent Rizzo Saunders said.

As part of the visit, students from Great Brook and South Meadow Schools had the opportunity to tour other parts of the high school building in order to develop familiarity with the building before they return as high school students.

The Region 14 ATC offers hands-on training in business, engineering, education, digital photography and video, graphic and web design, computer networking and programming, and woodworking.
