PETERBOROUGH – ConVal High School Principal Heather McKillop is pleased to share that a senior wrestler has earned significant accolades this season.

Chris Robbins has earned numerous achievements this year, most recently placing third in his weight class – highest of any ConVal wrestler in history – at the New England Championships in Providence, Rhode Island.

Robbins was also recently presented with the statewide sportsmanship award by the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association in late February. Robbins captured the Division III championship all three years of his ConVal wrestling career. He then won the 195-pound weight class at the Meet of Champions, establishing him as the best in his class in all of New Hampshire.

In addition, Robbins earned a $2,500 college scholarship for placing among the top three student-athletes in academics this year.

“Chris has a long list of accomplishments both this year, and over the course of his career as a student-athlete,” Principal McKillop said. “We’re all very proud of his commitment to success both in the classroom and on the mat throughout his time as a Cougar.”

In February, Robbins secured the 100th win of his career and finished with a career record of 109-20. He’s only the eighth wrestler in ConVal history to reach the 100-win mark – doing so despite losing his sophomore season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
