ConVal High School Seniors Receive Scholar Athlete Awards

PETERBOROUGH- ConVal School District Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo Saunders, Principal Heather McKillop and Athletic Director Kevin Proctor are pleased to announce that ConVal High School seniors have received recognition for their academic and athletic success.

The scholar-athlete awards are given jointly by the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association (NHIAA) and the New Hampshire Athletic Director’s Association (NHADA). The awards went to 24 seniors at ConVal High School for their academic success and athletic affiliation.

The awards are given to seniors who participate in at least two varsity sports and who demonstrate strong academic standing. To receive the award, the student-athletes must have accomplished one of the following: carried a minimum of a B+ average, ranked in the top 25% of their class, scored 24 or higher on the ACT or scored 1100 or higher on the SAT.

Students were recognized at a ceremony on April 4 at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord.

The following ConVal seniors received the Scholar-Athlete Award:

  • Wyatt Beaulieu: soccer, basketball, baseball
  • Morgan Bemont: soccer, basketball, softball
  • Harry Bernier: soccer, tennis
  • Bryson Boice: soccer, basketball, lacrosse
  • Wyatt Burbank: golf, tennis
  • Lydia Cleveland: field hockey, alpine skiing, lacrosse
  • Katherine Craig: fall spirit, winter spirit
  • Jake Daniels: soccer, basketball, tennis
  • Brianna Decker: volleyball, swimming/diving, outdoor track
  • Eliza Harris: field hockey, unified basketball, lacrosse
  • Sophie Hatmaker: volleyball, indoor track, outdoor track
  • Samantha Henderson: volleyball, softball
  • Allison Hodgen: field hockey, tennis
  • Hayden Kaltsas: field hockey, unified basketball, lacrosse
  • Ethan Kinney: soccer, basketball, baseball
  • Austin Klonel: soccer, basketball, outdoor track
  • Lily Mandel: volleyball, unified basketball, softball
  • Natalie Preble: fall spirit, winter spirit
  • Makenna Proctor: cross country, basketball, tennis
  • Carter Rousseau: soccer, alpine skiing, tennis
  • Abby Shumway: field hockey, tennis
  • Kendall Sullivan: volleyball, softball
  • Avery Swasey: volleyball, winter spirit
  • Laramie Wilson: field hockey, alpine skiing, lacrosse

“The students who won awards are individuals who have thrived in an academic setting while dedicating themselves to athletics,” Superintendent Rizzo Saunders said. “Their strong determination throughout their time at ConVal is admirable and the entire district would like to congratulate them on their accomplishments.”
