PETERBOROUGH – Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo Saunders and the ConVal School Board are pleased to share that the ConVal School District will hold a community forum and meet and greet next week. 

WHEN: 

Thursday, Nov. 10

Forum: 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Meet and Greet: 8:30-9 p.m.

WHERE: 

Lucy Hurlin Theater at Conval High School, 184 Hancock Road, Peterborough. To access this forum via live stream, please click here

WHAT:

Community members are invited to join the School Board and Administration for constructive, open, informative, and meaningful dialog about upcoming activities and initiatives. To view the forum agenda, please click here

Topics being presented include: 

  • Renovation project: School Board Representative Jim Fredrickson (Sharon) will provide an overview and update on the proposed renovation project, which currently includes the high school, Applied Technology Center, Great Brook School and South Meadow School. 
  • The Strategic Plan: School Board Representative Tom Burgess (Peterborough) and Superintendent Rizzo Saunders will provide information about the background of the Strategic Plan, the activities leading up to its development, the next steps in finalizing the plan and how the plan will be implemented. They will also summarize the five-year Strategic Plan and each priority area. To view a draft of the plan, click here.
  • Upcoming Events: Dick Dunning will give an overview of upcoming School Board activities, including budget, board meetings, committees and more. He will also share why community involvement is important for these activities. 

After topics are presented, the in-person audience will have an opportunity to ask questions directly to the moderator who will direct the question to the appropriate person. Those attending via live stream can submit questions via email at forum@conval.edu.

Following the forum, a meet and greet will take place in the cafeteria, located directly across from the Lucy Hurlin Theater. At this informal gathering, community members, School Board representatives and Administration will have the opportunity to talk to each other about topics that affect the School District and community. Light refreshments will be available. 

“Forums like these help to ensure that the community is engaged and informed, and that their feedback is incorporated into upcoming plans and initiatives. We encourage community members to join us for this important and informative forum,” Superintendent Rizzo Saunders said.
