Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo Saunders and Principal Larry Pimental are pleased to share that Peterborough Elementary School’s Girls on the Run team recently raised money to donate to Dartmouth Children’s Hospital.
The school’s Girls on the Run team, comprised of 14 students in Grades 3-5, hosted a lemonade and snack stand as part of their community impact project. The team raised a total of $450 for families and children impacted by long-term illnesses at Dartmouth Children’s Hospital.
The team hosted the stand with the help of PES teachers Adine Aldrich, Kaitlyn Morris, Andrea Petrone, and Kristin Bay, along with members of students’ families, who are all helping advise the team.
The PES team ended their season by participating in the State Girls on the Run 5k in Concord on Saturday, June 3.
“The students on PES’ Girls on the Run team are an inspiration,” said Superintendent Rizzo Saunders. “Their lemonade and snack stand was a huge success, and the families at Dartmouth Children’s Hospital will no doubt benefit from their kindness and generosity.”
